Fuji music legend, Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, popularly known as K1 De Ultimate, has issued a public apology following a heated altercation with ValueJet staff at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, on Tuesday, August 5.
In a video released online, the veteran singer expressed deep regret over the incident, admitting full responsibility for his actions. He appealed for forgiveness from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, whom he described as “a father to me and the nation,” as well as the Minister for Aviation, the pilot, ValueJet management, staff, passengers, his fans worldwide, and his family.
“I accept responsibility and humbly ask Mr. President, the Minister for Aviation, the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), and my fans across the globe to pardon my behaviour,” he said.
The apology comes after the incident sparked widespread reactions online, with many urging public figures to exercise patience and restraint during conflicts.
