Nigerian singer Spyro has joined in celebrating newlyweds Davido and Chioma, sharing a heartfelt message and a personal memory of the couple.

In a lengthy Instagram post, Spyro wrote:

“I don’t have a lot of friends in the industry, but you, @davido, have stuck with me way before fame, so e pain me say na video I just de watch all through, cos you really deserve the best brother. As I no sha de my song sha dey, make I take that one de see front first.

I am super happy yet again, as I was opportune to be involved in this love story at an early stage. I remember the night of my show at Hard Rock when I came to beg you at home to come. That was the first day I met her, with her pictures already plastered on your walls. Now, several years down the line, you guys are married.

GOD will keep you two together, IJN. The enemy will not rejoice over this one. I LOVE YOU, BROTHER, and thank you for being you. Congratulations.”

Spyro praised Davido for being a loyal friend long before his own rise to fame, adding that he was overjoyed to see the couple’s love story come full circle. He ended with prayers for their lasting union.
