Award-winning Nigerian singer Tiwa Savage has candidly spoken about her high expectations for a future partner, joking that her specific requirements might be the reason she remains single.
Speaking in a recent interview on Apple Music 1, the 45-year-old hitmaker discussed her 2023 hit song Somebody’s Son and shared the qualities she is seeking in a man. The mother of one revealed she is open to love but refuses to lower her standards, insisting that her ideal partner must have both a private jet and a yacht. She also stressed that she wants someone free from “baby mama drama” and unresolved family issues.
“I’m still looking for someone’s son,” Savage said. “I don’t have any [partner], and maybe it’s because I’m asking for specific things. I want someone who has a private plane, yacht, and no baby mama drama because I can’t deal with that. Maybe that’s my problem.”
The singer recently disclosed that she now prioritises financial stability over love in relationships. In May, she also admitted to avoiding relationships with Nigerian men, claiming they often lack romance.
Savage was married to Tunji “TeeBillz” Balogun in 2013, welcomed their son Jamal in 2015, and finalised their divorce in 2018.
