Mohbad’s Father Releases New Song, Appeals to President Tinubu for Justice
Joseph Aloba, father of late Nigerian singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, has released another song calling for justice over his son’s controversial death.
In a new video making rounds online, Aloba urged President Bola Tinubu to intervene and help uncover the truth behind the 27-year-old’s death, which occurred in September 2023 at his Lagos home under unclear circumstances. September 12, 2025, will mark two years since Mohbad’s passing.
Despite the Lagos State government conducting a coroner’s inquest and an autopsy, Aloba has rejected the findings, insisting that the real cause of death has not been revealed. He has also refused to rebury his son until, in his words, “justice is served.”
The grieving father’s continued release of music about Mohbad has sparked mixed reactions online. While some Nigerians have criticized his approach, accusing him of exploiting the tragedy, others believe it is simply his personal way of coping with grief.
