Popular Nigerian relationship therapist, Blessing CEO, has taken to Instagram to share a romantic video of herself and her partner, controversial auto dealer Ikechukwu Ogbonna, popularly known as IVD, just before his arrest.
In the video, the couple is seen at the airport, reportedly ahead of their trip to Qatar. This comes days after IVD was arrested while attempting to leave the country. According to reports, the arrest is linked to the ongoing investigation into the death of his late wife, Bimbo, in a domestic violence case that is still in court. Insiders claim IVD was not permitted to travel until the legal case is resolved.
Addressing the situation, Blessing CEO insisted that IVD was not under any travel ban. She claimed the arrest was unjust and accused the public of bullying and harassing him. She also called on the Lagos State government to intervene.
In her Instagram post, she defended their relationship, stating:
"Na love we love, we no kee person. Relationship expert without relationship don get relationship wey dey give sleepless night."
She praised IVD, calling him a “star boy,” and added that God's grace was with them.
The post sparked even more controversy, as it surfaced shortly after a viral video showed Blessing partying and twerking on a yacht in Qatar, despite her fiancé being in detention. Critics accused her of being insensitive and seeking attention.
In a follow-up post, Blessing warned her critics, saying she was being pushed to her limit and would soon “drop her new character” and fully speak out. She maintained IVD’s innocence and claimed the public harassment had gone too far.
The situation continues to stir debate online, with many questioning her public display of affection while a serious legal case hangs over IVD.
