Veteran Nollywood actress Omoni Oboli has opened up about her struggles when she first started her acting career.
Speaking through her Instagram page on Wednesday, the actress encouraged her fans, whom she fondly calls “besties,” never to give up during tough times.
“To encourage you besties: if you’re in a season of waiting, don’t give up. God sees you. God hears you. Your time is coming, and when it does, it will be speedy and undeniable,” Omoni wrote.
She went further to recall her own past, when she used to wait and pray for movie roles. Omoni revealed that she and her colleague, Uzor Arukwe, recently talked about their early struggles on set. According to her, they once spent days at home crying and praying to God for acting jobs, but today they are blessed with overwhelming opportunities.
“On set two days ago, @uzor.arukwe and I were reminiscing about how we used to sit at home praying and crying to God for work. Now we are overwhelmed with it. What a faithful God! I just want to take a moment to appreciate my King, the one who makes all things beautiful in His time,” she wrote.
Her post has inspired many of her fans, with several flooding her comment section to thank her for sharing her journey and to testify that her words gave them hope.
