Actress Eniola Ajao Speaks on Blogger’s Arrest Over Defamation

Nollywood actress Eniola Ajao has finally spoken out about the arrest and detention of a blogger accused of spreading false claims about her.


In a statement shared on her social media page, Eniola explained that the blogger, identified as Adabasioni, went online to publish derogatory and unfounded allegations against her after she attended the burial of Pa N.A. Adekola, father of her boss, Ambassador Odunlade Adekola.


The actress revealed that when asked to provide evidence to back up his claims, the blogger failed to do so, leading to his arrest and detention at Ikoyi Prison for two weeks.


She said she later agreed to his release after his mother and three wives pleaded passionately, rolling on the floor to beg her for forgiveness.


Eniola stressed that the incident left her traumatized and affected her mental health. She also issued a strong warning to bloggers who defame public figures just for attention, making it clear that she will not hesitate to take legal action against anyone who spreads lies about her.
