Guinness World Records Confirms Hilda Baci’s Jollof Rice World Record

Nigerian celebrity chef, Hilda Baci, has once again made history by setting a new Guinness World Record for preparing the largest serving of Nigerian-style jollof rice.

The record-breaking event took place on September 12, 2025, at Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos, where Hilda cooked an incredible 8,780 kilograms (19,356 lb 9 oz) of jollof rice.

Guinness World Records confirmed the milestone in an official announcement on X, writing: “New record: Largest serving of Nigerian-style jollof rice 8,780 kg achieved by Hilda Baci and Gino in Victoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria.”

Hilda, who first rose to international fame in 2023 after breaking the record for the longest cooking marathon, has now added another remarkable achievement to her name.

The cook-off drew wide attention both online and offline, with strong support from top personalities and brands. Nollywood star Funke Akindele, media influencer Enioluwa, TV host Tomike, Pastor Idowu, and Bamidele Abiodun, wife of the Ogun State Governor, all joined in to support and help prepare what is now officially recognized as the largest pot of jollof rice ever made.
