Popular Nollywood actor Wale Akorede, widely known as Okunnu, has finally reunited with his family in Canada after spending eight years apart.
The Yoruba movie star shared an emotional video on Instagram showing the moment he arrived in Canada and was warmly received at the airport by his wife and children. In the clip, his loved ones rushed to embrace him in tears of joy, while colleagues and friends living in Canada also came out to welcome him.
Expressing gratitude, Okunnu thanked God for making the long-awaited reunion possible. He stated that no distance or time can ever weaken the bond of a family’s love. He joyfully declared that Canada now feels more like home since he is finally back with his family.
His caption read:
"Alhamdulillah! God did! After 8 years apart, my family is finally whole again in Canada. No distance, no time, nothing keeps a family’s love apart. Canada feels more like home now that I am with my family."
The touching reunion sparked celebration across social media, with several Nollywood stars flooding his comment section with congratulatory messages.
