Nigerian billionaire businessman and author, Femi Otedola, moved many with a heartfelt speech at the wedding of his daughter, Temi Otedola, to singer Mr Eazi.
The proud father recalled meeting Mr Eazi for the first time in 2017 when Temi introduced him as her partner. Otedola admitted he was initially skeptical because of the singer’s dreadlocks, but a strong spiritual feeling convinced him that Eazi was his daughter’s husband. Eight years later, he said, that feeling has become reality.
The billionaire revealed that the couple’s journey to marriage was not without challenges. He recounted two incidents that nearly disrupted their celebrations. First, their planned engagement in Dubai was threatened when Israel and Iran went to war, but the event still held as planned. Second, just a week before the wedding, a storm destroyed the tent meant for the ceremony, but God intervened and everything was restored. For him, these were clear signs that the union is blessed by God.
Speaking directly to his daughter, Otedola advised Temi to honor and submit to her husband. He emphasized that Eazi is now her “husband and boss,” telling her not to run to him (Otedola) for issues. He praised Mr Eazi for his entrepreneurial skills and encouraged him to keep loving Temi.
Otedola also shared marital advice with the couple, urging them not to allow third parties into their relationship. He said any problems should remain between them, assuring them that God will bless their home if they follow this path.
Gushing over the couple, Otedola noted that Temi and Eazi are both entrepreneurs, making them “a match made in heaven.”
