Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing has transformed an episode of online body-shaming into a bold celebration of self-love and body positivity.
The actress recently faced criticism after an unflattering gym photo of her stomach went viral, drawing harsh remarks from trolls. Instead of letting the negativity weigh her down, Nkechi used the moment to launch a social media campaign aimed at empowering women.
On Instagram, she introduced the “Big Belle Challenge”, urging women to proudly showcase their natural midsections. Participants are asked to post photos of their bellies, tag her, and include the hashtag #BigBelleChallenge.
To make the contest more exciting, Nkechi promised to repost the top three entries and reward the grand-prize winner with ₦1 million cash. She credited her brother, @proactive105mann, for sponsoring the initiative.
In her words:
“₦1 million to the winner, Big Belle Challenge is here… The person with the biggest belly takes it all.”
The move has since gone viral, sparking both praise and playful reactions online.
