Olamide Speaks on ‘Big 3’ Debate, Says He Doesn’t Care About Comparisons

Nigerian rapper Olamide has finally shared his thoughts on the long-running “Big 3” debate in the music industry, which compares Wizkid, Davido, and Burna Boy.

During a livestream with UK-based media personality Adesope Olajide, also known as Shopsydoo, Olamide made it clear that he is not bothered about the conversation.

In his words: “I don’t care about the Big 3. If I’m in the mood for it tomorrow, I’ll do what I want to do. But that’s not my thing. I respect it if it’s somebody else’s cup of tea, but it’s not mine. I just want to make good music.”

The YBNL boss went on to speak about his personal relationship with Wizkid, Davido, and Burna Boy, whom he described as his friends. He, however, jokingly added that the trio can sometimes be “too troublesome.”

“Wizkid, Davido, and Burna Boy are all my friends. They are cool dudes, it’s just that sometimes many can’t align on so many things, and that’s fine,” Olamide said.

His comments have sparked fresh discussions online, with fans praising him for choosing to stay focused on his craft instead of joining the rivalry debates.
