Nollywood actress Funmi Awelewa has expressed deep sorrow over the death of her colleague, sharing how she had prayed for his recovery before the sad news was confirmed.
In an emotional post on Instagram, Funmi revealed that when she first heard of his health challenge, she immediately sent one of her students, who lives near Bowen Hospital, to check on him. The student reported that the actor was responding to treatment at the time. Holding onto hope, Funmi prayed fervently against death but later accepted that God’s will had prevailed.
The actress poured out her grief, noting his pain, efforts, strength, and struggles. She lamented that even the movie he worked on had not yet been released, describing the situation as senseless and heartbreaking.
Joining in the mourning, actress Regina Daniels also shared her pain, saying she received the news with great shock. She added that her heart especially goes out to the late actor’s mother, who now bears the weight of the loss.
