It was a star-studded celebration as Nollywood actress Chizzy Alichi and her husband, Chike Mbah, dedicated their baby boy to God. The joyful event, held on Sunday, was filled with love, laughter, and support from family, friends, and top movie stars.
Famous faces like Rita Dominic, Nancy Isime, Peggy Ovire, Charles Okocha, Nasty Blaq, Medlin Boss, and Uche Elendu all attended the lavish dedication party to celebrate with the couple.
Earlier in May, Chizzy had shared the good news of her baby’s birth on Instagram, describing her pregnancy as the most challenging time of her life. She said she prayed, joined online prayer groups, and paid tithes to several churches before finally welcoming her son.
After giving birth, Chizzy posted a touching video showing how her colleagues — including Patience Ozokwor, Kanayo Kanayo, Kiekie, Mercy Johnson, Empress Njamah, and Rachael Okonkwo — reacted with excitement to her pregnancy news.
The actress also opened up about her postpartum mood swings, humorously admitting that when she gets angry, she takes it out on her husband instead of her family. She advised women to marry kind partners.
Last year, Chizzy and her husband marked their 5th wedding anniversary, with the actress expressing that after God, having a good spouse is the greatest blessing.
