Nollywood actress Ashabi Simple has finally reacted after singer Portable leaked a private conversation between them, where he harshly criticized her and accused her of trying to destroy his marriage.
Earlier, Portable publicly blasted Ashabi — mother of two of his children — claiming she was attempting to cause problems between him and his wife, Bewaji. He called her “the biggest mistake of his life,” alleging that she once chased away his ex, Queen Dami, and even went behind his back to tell his wife that he had other girlfriends.
Portable went further, raining insults and vowing never to love her again.
Now responding via Instagram, Ashabi said she is not someone who brings her relationship issues to social media. She explained that this is not the first time Portable has dragged her online, and she urged the public to “act like nothing happened.”
In her words:
“Can we just act like nothing happened? Stop making a big deal out of this. I’ve never come online to talk about my relationship except when it’s love.”
She added that anyone who has an opinion about her relationship should “ask God to tell her through a dream,” insisting that people should not give her advice.
Ashabi hinted that love has made her appear like a failure but maintained that she is not, saying time will prove her right.
“Let me be. No advice. I’m not blind or deaf.”
The drama has sparked fresh reactions online, with social media users divided over who is right in the ongoing saga.
