Actress Peju Ogunmola Shares Heartbreaking Words After Son’s Death.

Nollywood veteran Peju Ogunmola has spoken publicly for the first time since the heartbreaking loss of her only son, Ayomikun.

Back in September, reports confirmed that Peju lost her son after a brief illness in Ibadan, as revealed by the family’s spokesperson, Yemi Amodu, who clarified that Ayomikun’s death was not caused by any rumor making rounds. He was later laid to rest in Ibadan.

In a touching video shared on her Instagram page, Peju expressed her gratitude to fans, friends, and colleagues for their love, prayers, and condolences during her difficult period. She described the past few months as “heavy” but said the outpouring of support helped her find strength again.

Marking the new month, she said it feels like a new dawn and announced her return to acting, stating joyfully that she’s ready to continue doing what she loves.

“The past months have been heavy, but your love and prayers carried me through the storm. Today, I rise stronger, grateful, and ready to embrace my passion again. The screens have missed me… and I’m back,” she said.

When news of her son’s passing broke, the movie industry stood by her and her husband, Sunday Omobolanle (Papi Luwe). Top Nollywood stars including Dele Odule, Ronke Odusanya, Fausat Balogun, Bimbo Oshin, Olaiya Igwe, Fali Werepe, and others visited their Ibadan residence to offer support and comfort.

Peju’s message of resilience and gratitude has since touched many hearts, marking her brave comeback to the screen after months of mourning.
