A tragic incident has shocked residents of Katsina State after a man, Dan Gaske Mai Masara, was st@bbed to d3ath by his wife just three days after their wedding.
The event happened on Sunday afternoon, November 23, 2025, in Tashar Aibo community, Jibia Local Government Area. The couple had gotten married on Thursday, November 18, 2025.
According to a neighbour, the husband was asleep when his wife allegedly attacked him, st@bbing him in the neck with a knife.
People in the community described the victim, a well-known maize seller, as humble, peaceful, and hardworking.
One community member, Mohammad Jibo, shared a warning online, saying people should leave unhealthy marriages before they turn dangerous. He wrote that the man married the woman on November 18, and she killed him on November 23 while he slept. He added that all they can do now is pray for Allah’s mercy on the deceased.
Local residents expressed deep sorrow and offered prayers for his soul.
The reason for the attack is still unknown, and authorities have not yet released an official statement as investigations continue.
