Nollywood actress Dayo Amusa has shared a heartfelt message of appreciation to her colleagues after celebrating her son’s first birthday with a grand party.

Over the weekend, Dayo Amusa hosted a colourful and lavish birthday party for her son, and many well-known Nollywood actors attended the event. Some of the stars present included MC Oluomo, Mercy Aigbe, Iyabo Ojo, Omowunmi Ajiboye, Seiilat, Laide Bakare, Ijebu, Ronke Oshodi, Seyi Edun, Bakare Zainab, Aisha Lawal, Bimbo Thomas, Foluke Daramola, Debbie Shokoya, Doyin Kukoyi, Folorunsho Adeola, Sola Kosoko, Muyiwa Ademola, and several others.

After the party, Dayo posted videos and photos on Instagram, thanking everyone who showed up. She praised her colleagues and added that “we shine differently.” She also gave credit to the designer of her outfit, the event planner, and the makers of the customised shirts used for the party.

• In November last year, Dayo welcomed her baby boy, Oluwafirewamiri, calling him her “treasure” and thanking God for making her a mother.

• In December, she shared a touching testimony. She revealed that she had suffered three miscarriages, and her ex-husband left her because of her struggles with infertility and went on to have a child with someone else.

• In February, Dayo further opened up about her emotional journey. She explained how she cried in front of her domestic staff out of frustration, telling God she had gone through many surgeries and medical tests but still had no child.

• The birth of her son finally put an end to years of negative comments and mockery she faced online, especially from people who insulted her for not having a child and for supporting politician Bola Ahmed Tinubu during the 2023 elections.
