Ogun Govt Moves to Prosecute TikToker DJ Chicken Over Sagamu Road Crash

The Ogun State Ministry of Justice has announced that it will prosecute TikToker Ademola Abiodun, popularly known as DJ Chicken, over a road traffic incident that happened in Sagamu on November 1, 2025.

The decision follows reports that DJ Chicken was involved in another road crash on November 23, 2025, in Lekki, Lagos—making it his third accident in two months.

DETAILS OF THE SAGAMU INCIDENT

According to the Ministry’s statement, the November 1 crash left two people seriously injured:

  • DJ Chicken reportedly hit two motorcycles, injuring both a rider and a female passenger.

  • After the crash, he allegedly showed no remorse and tried to escape, causing angry passersby to mob him.

The Ministry said his repeated behavior shows a pattern of reckless driving.

WHY THE STATE IS PROSECUTING HIM

The Ministry explained that although many road accidents can be settled as civil matters, some drivers pose a “special danger” to the public:

“Some road users are special dangers to society and should be held to account under criminal law. Mr Abiodun is one such person.”

The government stressed that his three crashes in two months make criminal action necessary.

OFFICIAL STATEMENT FROM THE ATTORNEY-GENERAL

Oluwasina Ogungbade, SAN, the Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, ordered the case to be fast-tracked. He stated:

“The State must intervene to protect the public. Mr Abiodun’s actions make it imperative that he be held accountable under criminal law.”
