Popular Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has finally spoken out about her ongoing marital crisis with Ned Nwoko, referring to him as her “ex-husband.”
In an emotional video recorded around 5 a.m. on October 5, Regina revealed she has barely slept due to the emotional stress she’s facing. She described the situation as “overwhelming,” saying her family has been going through a lot privately.
Regina also took time to defend her mother, Rita Daniels, who has faced online criticism since the issue began. She begged people to stop dragging her mother into the matter, explaining that her mom has always supported and guided her through life.
However, Regina’s video has drawn mixed reactions from Nigerians. While some expressed sympathy, others criticized her, saying the video “made no sense.” A few even accused her of “mocking” those who used their “cheap data” to comment on her situation.
Responding to the backlash, Regina said she only wanted to clear the air, adding:
“I feel like I owe you all this explanation. I know you’re pained, not from a bad place, but because you spent your ₦200 or ₦500 to watch my movies as a child. It’s okay — I’m in the limelight, and you all have a say.”
