Champions League: Arsenal Secure Top-Two Champions League Finish with Win Over Inter Milan

Arsenal have confirmed their place in the top two of the UEFA Champions League standings after a 3–1 victory against Inter Milan.

Gabriel Jesus was the star of the night, scoring two goals for the Gunners. Viktor Gyokeres also found the net to complete the win. The result extended Arsenal’s perfect record in Europe this season.

Earlier in the day, Arsenal had already been assured of a top-eight finish in the league phase following Manchester City’s surprising loss to Bodo/Glimt. However, the win in Milan confirmed their position in the top two.

The victory also boosted Arsenal’s confidence ahead of their important clash with Manchester United. Jesus’ strong performance has strengthened his case to start the match, although Gyokeres reminded everyone of his quality with a late goal.

Elsewhere in the Champions League, Real Madrid recorded a big win as Kylian Mbappé scored twice and Jude Bellingham also got on the scoresheet in a comfortable victory over Monaco. The match marked Álvaro Arbeloa’s first Champions League game in charge of the Spanish side.
