Chelsea are expected to complete the departure of forward Raheem Sterling in the coming days as talks over his future continue.
Discussions are currently ongoing between Chelsea and Sterling’s representatives, with both sides working to reach an agreement before Monday. The club has made it clear that it is ready to allow the England international leave, and all parties are keen to resolve the situation quickly.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed that negotiations are progressing as planned. In a post shared on X, Romano said Sterling is prepared to move on once a solution is agreed.
Sterling joined Chelsea from Manchester City in 2022 and featured regularly in the club’s attack in previous seasons. However, his future at Stamford Bridge has remained uncertain due to limited opportunities.
Reports suggest the winger has not played a single match this season and has been training separately after failing to secure a transfer before the August 2025 deadline. He has since been linked with several clubs as he looks for regular playing time elsewhere.
