Adamu Atiku Abubakar, the son of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, has officially resigned from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
His resignation takes immediate effect and was confirmed in a letter dated March 4, 2026. The letter was addressed to the chairman of the PDP in Jada 1 Ward.
In the letter, Adamu announced his decision to step down from the party and expressed gratitude to the ward leadership and party members for their support during his time in the party.
He wrote, “I hereby formally resign my membership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) at Jada 1 Ward with immediate effect.”
Adamu also thanked the party for the opportunity to serve and appreciated the encouragement he received from party leaders and members over the years.
He concluded by requesting that his resignation be officially communicated to the appropriate authorities within the party structure.
