Nigerian singer Ayra Starr, born Sarah Aderibigbe, has shared details about her spirituality, personal beliefs, and growing interest in acting during a recent livestream.
Speaking with TikToker Jarvis, the music star said she has a close relationship with God and the Holy Spirit. She explained that her spiritual journey is not strictly tied to attending church but is based on her personal faith.
According to her, her goal is to live a life that reflects the teachings of Jesus Christ. She said she is “trying to be as perfect as Jesus” and believes that faith is personal and can be expressed in different ways.
In her words, she said:
“I am trying to be as perfect as Jesus. I have a close relationship with God and the Holy Spirit and it doesn’t come with me only being in church. God says let it be unto you according to your faith. I have found a way that works for me.”
Ayra Starr added that while she may not fully follow traditional religious structures, spirituality remains very important in her life. She also noted that her current approach works for her at this stage, although she remains open to growth and change in the future.
Beyond music and faith, the singer also revealed that she is now exploring acting. She said she started acting last year and is preparing to release her first movie later this year, marking a new step in her entertainment career.
