Nigerian singer and songwriter Simi is celebrating her 38th birthday with gratitude and joy.
The music star, who is married to fellow singer Adekunle Gold, shared new photos of herself on social media while reflecting on her journey over the past year.
In her message, Simi described the year as “big, long, heavy, and blessed,” as she expressed appreciation to God for His constant presence in her life. She also noted that she is someone who never fails to celebrate her birthday.
In her words:
“One thing about me – I’m going to celebrate my birthday. It’s been a pretty big, long, heavy, blessed year… Still, God doesn’t play about me… I’m so thankful.”
The mother of two also added a lighthearted note, joking that if she does not celebrate properly, people should raise the alarm.
“PS: If I don’t turn up today, call the police,” she wrote.
