Nollywood actor and producer Ibrahim Yekini, popularly known as Itele, has appeared to respond to recent criticism from film critic Tolu Fagbure, who questioned his place in the Nigerian cinema industry.
During a recent interview, Fagbure claimed that Itele and actress Eniola Ajao have no business making cinema films. Although the actor did not mention the critic by name, many fans believe his latest social media post was a response to the comments.
Taking to his Instagram page, Itele shared throwback photos of himself alongside some of his colleagues, reflecting on his journey in the movie industry. He said that despite the challenges and criticism over the years, his goal has remained the same.
Using the post to encourage his followers, the actor urged them to remain focused on their dreams, work hard, stay humble, and allow their achievements to speak for themselves instead of responding to criticism.
He wrote, “From those days to these days, the mission never changed. Work hard, stay humble, and let your results make the noise.”
His post has since attracted reactions from fans, with many praising his determination and interpreting the message as a calm response to the criticism about his career.
