The death of veteran Nollywood actor Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, has continued to attract emotional reactions from fans, colleagues and admirers across Nigeria, with residents of Abule Egba recently staging a grand tribute in his honour.
Taiwo Hassan died on Sunday, August 23, after reportedly battling stage-four cancer. The heartbreaking news was announced by his daughter during a live video, leaving his family, colleagues and fans mourning the loss of one of Yoruba Nollywood’s most respected actors.
The actor was laid to rest on Monday in an emotional burial ceremony attended by several prominent figures in the Nigerian film industry.
