Former Delta State Governor's media aide, Ossai Success Ovie, has shared his opinion on the highly publicized wedding of TikTok couple Peller and Jarvis, describing the event as "overrated and overhyped."
In a post on his Instagram page, Ossai revealed that although he received an invitation to the wedding, he was unable to attend due to prior engagements. However, after following the ceremony online, he said he was left disappointed, claiming the event failed to live up to the expectations created by weeks of publicity.
According to him, the massive promotional campaign surrounding the wedding made many people anticipate a grand and unforgettable celebration. Instead, he said the décor, setup, and overall atmosphere appeared ordinary, describing it as a typical influencer wedding rather than the spectacular event many had expected.
Ossai also pointed to reports of crowd control challenges, late arrivals, and logistical issues, arguing that the organization of the event did not match the level of hype it received.
He further criticized the couple's pre-wedding publicity, saying too much attention was placed on drama, public relations, and social media content instead of the true essence of marriage.
While acknowledging that Peller and Jarvis are still young, Ossai advised them to focus less on building a public brand and more on nurturing their marriage, emphasizing that a successful union should be centered on love, family, and commitment, rather than online attention.
Despite his criticism, he wished the couple well and expressed hope that they would build a strong and lasting marriage beyond the social media spotlight.
