Veteran Nollywood actor Yinka Quadri has provided an update on the health condition of his colleague, Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, while expressing appreciation to fans, colleagues and well-wishers for their overwhelming support.
In a lengthy social media statement, Yinka revealed that hundreds of people have reached out with prayers, encouragement and offers of assistance, including spiritual and medical support.
The veteran actor expressed gratitude to everyone who has shown concern for Ogogo and appealed to them to continue praying for his recovery. He said he remains hopeful that Ogogo will successfully overcome his current health challenge through prayers and the mercy of God.
Yinka also addressed the numerous offers from people who want to provide spiritual assistance or treatment for the ailing actor. According to him, the family has received offers from more than 300 and even over 500 people, all claiming to have something that could help Ogogo.
However, he explained that the major challenge is moving Ogogo from the hospital to different locations while he is undergoing treatment.
He therefore appealed to those who may feel disappointed because Ogogo cannot be brought to them, urging them to understand the circumstances surrounding his treatment.
Yinka stressed that the inability to take Ogogo to various people does not mean that the family doubts their intentions or does not appreciate their willingness to help.
Instead, he encouraged everyone to continue offering their support from wherever they are, whether through prayers, encouragement or any other assistance they can provide.
“Please, continue to pray with us. We believe strongly that, with your prayers, our prayers, and the mercy of Almighty God, Taye will come out of this situation successfully. There is nothing impossible before Almighty God.”
The actor concluded by thanking everyone for the love and concern shown towards Ogogo and urged them to keep praying, supporting and believing in his recovery during this difficult period.
