Nollywood actress Omowunmi Dada has celebrated a major achievement after the movie Black Market reportedly set a new Guinness World Record for the largest audience gathered for a film screening.
More than 51,000 people reportedly gathered at Tafawa Balewa Square in Lagos to watch the movie, surpassing the previous record of 43,624 people, which was set by Felix Manalo in the Philippines in 2015.
Guinness World Records officials were reportedly present at the event and confirmed the achievement, marking a significant milestone for the Nigerian film industry.
Black Market, produced by Rixel Studios, has attracted considerable attention and features several Nollywood stars, including Omowunmi Dada, Lateef Adedimeji, Uzor Arukwe, Linda Ejiofor Suleiman, Scarlet Gomez, Itele, Teniola Aladese and Susan Pwajok, among others.
Following the record-breaking achievement, Omowunmi Dada took to social media to celebrate her involvement in the project. The actress shared a video of herself proudly raising her shoulders, appearing to bask in the success of the movie.
The achievement has further generated excitement among fans and movie lovers, with the massive turnout highlighting the growing interest in Nigerian cinema.
