Nigerian-American Afro-pop and R&B singer Brite Benson has made a bold claim about his financial standing compared with Nigerian music star Davido.
Speaking during a conversation with comedian DeeOne, Benson suggested that his wealth is significantly greater than that of Davido when their finances are measured in US dollars.
The singer explained that, in his view, having substantial wealth does not necessarily mean constantly displaying it publicly or talking about money.
According to Benson, a person's financial strength can exist without them feeling the need to repeatedly prove their wealth or make extravagant displays in the public eye.
He further argued that his financial position should not be compared with Davido's if the comparison is based specifically on dollar value, insisting that he considers himself to be considerably wealthier.
Brite Benson said:
“I am five times richer than Davido. Having money is not about always bragging in the limelight. You can’t compare him to me when we are talking in dollars.”
His statement has sparked attention because of the magnitude of the claim, particularly given Davido's established career and public profile in the global music industry.
However, Benson's claim represents his personal assertion, and no independent financial evidence was provided in the statement to verify that he is five times wealthier than Davido.
