“I Am Not an Ordinary Actress or Celebrity; I Don’t Post Anything Fake” – Iyabo Ojo Speaks Out on Alleged Attacks Against Her Family

 

Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has spoken out amid what she described as constant attacks and allegations directed at her family.

In a lengthy statement shared on social media, the actress cautioned Nigerians against believing people who make serious allegations online while merely claiming to have “proof” or “evidence” without presenting anything that can be independently verified.

Iyabo emphasised that anyone making an allegation must be prepared to prove it, adding that nobody is above the law and that the appropriate legal and judicial processes should be allowed to take their course.

She also addressed her history as an activist, stressing that she has never considered herself to be merely an ordinary actress or celebrity. According to her, activism has always been part of her, and she believes many of the attacks and criticism directed at her stem from her decision to stand up for people and causes she believes in.

Iyabo stated that she has no regrets about the people she has supported or fought for, adding that she would make the same choices again if given another opportunity. However, she explained that she has now chosen not to bring such activism to social media as much as she did in the past.

The actress further expressed confidence in her faith, saying she believes that her family is protected by God. She maintained that no amount of plotting, defamation, manipulation or attempts to twist their story would change the course of their lives.

Addressing fans and loved ones who may be worried about the situation, Iyabo urged them to remain calm and assured them that “God is in control.” She pointed to the progress and blessings her family has continued to experience as evidence of God’s grace and protection.

She also made a strong clarification about the information her family shares online, insisting that they would never deliberately post fake information on social media. She encouraged anyone who doubts their claims to verify the information for themselves.

Iyabo concluded by appreciating her fans and loved ones for their continued support and assuring them that she and her family would continue moving forward in God’s grace and glory.
