Nollywood actress and filmmaker Funke Akindele has once again earned praise for her kindness after extending a generous helping hand to her ailing colleague, Omotunde Apinke Ogundimu, who is currently battling cervical cancer.
Omotunde had recently opened up about her health struggle during an emotional interview with Biola Bayo, where she appealed to Nigerians for support. She spoke about the severity of the pain she has been experiencing while undergoing treatment.
Following the interview, Omotunde revealed that she received an unexpected call from Funke Akindele early in the morning. According to her, the actress prayed with her and subsequently sent her a large sum of money to support her cancer treatment.
Overwhelmed by the gesture, Omotunde took to social media to publicly appreciate Funke, expressing surprise and gratitude for the actress' timely intervention.
She described Funke as a blessing and prayed that God would never forsake her, while also asking her followers to join her in praying for the actress.
