TikTok star Jarvis has playfully reprimanded her husband, Peller, over his constant use of Nigerian Pidgin, urging him to speak English, particularly phonetics, around her and their unborn child.
The social media personality made this known during a livestream on Switch, where she was seen on a video call with Peller. During their conversation, Peller spoke in Pidgin, prompting Jarvis to caution him about his manner of speaking.
Jarvis questioned whether her husband realised that their unborn baby could already recognise his voice. She urged him to be more mindful of what he says around her, insisting that he should stop speaking Pidgin and communicate with her in English instead.
In the video, Jarvis could be heard telling Peller that he was behaving anyhow and reminding him that the baby could hear his voice.
“You dey behave anyhow. Don’t you know that this child can recognise your voice? He dey hear you. Abeg, no dey speak Pidgin for me. Stop speaking Pidgin, speak English with me, speak phonetics with me, babe,” she said.
Her remarks have drawn attention to the couple’s interaction, with the exchange highlighting their playful disagreement over language as they prepare to welcome their baby.
Jarvis and Peller, who frequently share moments from their relationship with fans on social media, continue to attract public attention through their livestreams and online content.
