Nollywood actress Funke Akindele has playfully called out her colleague, Lateef Adedimeji, over a video showing him cradling one of his triplet sons.
The actor recently shared a heartwarming video on social media in which he was seen carrying one of his babies while offering prayers for his followers and loved ones.
In the post, Lateef prayed that Allah would answer the private prayers of those who trusted in Him, fulfil their righteous hopes and grant them what was truly best for them.
His message read:
“May Allah answer the duas you have made in private, fulfil the righteous hopes you carry in your heart, and grant you what is truly best for you.”
Reacting to the video, Funke Akindele jokingly accused the actor of showing preference for one of his triplets, pointing out that he was carrying the child who looked most like him.
“You don carry your carbon copy,” she commented.
Lateef, however, quickly clarified that he was not playing favourites among his children. According to him, he was simply trying to put the baby to sleep.
“Trying to put him to sleep ni,” he replied.
The exchange sparked a light-hearted moment between the two Nollywood stars, with Funke's comment drawing attention to the resemblance between Lateef and the baby he was carrying.
Lateef and his wife, actress Mo Bimpe, welcomed their triplets earlier this year, and the couple have occasionally shared glimpses of their family life with fans on social media.
