NDC Spokesperson Opens Up About Peter Obi’s Health

The Deputy Campaign Spokesperson of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Dr Sam Omale, has dismissed concerns about the health of the party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi, insisting that he is in good health and only experiencing physical exhaustion.

Omale made this clarification during an interview on Channels Television, where he explained that Obi’s demanding political schedule and frequent travels between different locations had left him with little time to rest.

According to the spokesperson, Obi remains deeply committed to his political activities and often takes on several responsibilities at the same time. He noted that the candidate’s busy schedule, which involves travelling from one location to another within a short period, can naturally take a toll on his body.

Omale expressed surprise at Obi’s energy and ability to keep up with his engagements, citing his movement between London and Enugu as an example of how demanding his schedule has become.

“Sometimes I wonder where he gets his energy from. He is in London today and the following morning in Enugu. I’m wondering how he does it. Exhaustion comes in; he is a human being,” he said.

He further maintained that Obi was not suffering from any known medical condition, stressing that the concerns surrounding his health were related only to exhaustion from his demanding activities.

Omale added that members of Obi’s team had been encouraging him to slow down, get enough sleep and take time to rest, rather than continue pushing himself without adequate breaks.

“He is in perfect health. There’s nothing wrong with him. It’s just exhaustion, and we are trying to calm him down to take a sleep. He is fine,” he added.

The spokesperson’s comments were aimed at reassuring supporters and addressing concerns about Obi’s well-being. He maintained that the presidential candidate was fine, while acknowledging that his busy schedule had made proper rest necessary.
