“Please Do Not Forget Your Children and Me” – Toluwanisings’ Widow Breaks Down in Tears

Akanbi Elizabeth, the widow of late gospel singer Olayemi Bayonile Bolaji, popularly known as Toluwanisings, broke down in tears on Tuesday while paying an emotional tribute to her deceased husband at a memorial event in Ibadan.

The grieving widow struggled to hold back her tears as she attempted to express her feelings during the gathering, which was organised in honour of the late gospel musician at Jogor Centre, Ibadan.

Overwhelmed by grief, Elizabeth found it difficult to complete her tribute as she reflected on the pain of losing her husband and the uncertainty of life without him.

In an emotional statement, she expressed how much she would miss him and appealed to him not to forget her and their children.

“Toluwanisings, my dear husband. I will forever miss you. Please do not forget your children and I,” she said tearfully.

Her heartfelt words created an emotional moment at the memorial, as family members, friends, colleagues and admirers gathered to celebrate the life and legacy of the late singer, whose death has continued to attract public attention.

Several prominent gospel musicians and entertainers attended the event to honour the deceased. They included Adeyinka Alaseyori, Esther Igbekele, Laolu Gbenjo, Akintayo Akinwande, SB Live, Bidemi Olaoba, Mr Gbera, Peterson Okopi and Sarah Apekeola.

Nollywood actress Bimbo Oshin was also present at the memorial to pay her respects to the late gospel singer.

Toluwanisings died in Ibadan on October 14, 2026, after reportedly slumping. His death has continued to generate reactions, while the memorial provided an opportunity for loved ones and colleagues to remember him and offer support to his grieving family.
