Meet The First Female Northern Lieutenant Colonel In The Nigerian Army

Hajara is the first female northernern lieutenant colonel in the army force in Nigeria, she's the daughter of the late Marafan Birnin Kudu. Colonel Bashari Umaru from Birnin Kudu In jigawa state. She's currently the chief Matron of the armed forces medical hospital in kano. She's been to war in congo, she served at ibadan, kaduna and many other places within Nigeria.

Hajara was born in Dorayi quarters on the 19th of March 1964 she grew up in Yakasai quarters at kano, she later began her education at wagarwa primary sch and later joined St.Loius primary sch.
Hajara was a bright student, after completing her secondary education she then joined School of  nursing Kano. It's at the nursing school she made the decision of joining the Nigerian Air Force, following the recruitment drive for new medical personnel. Hajara who's a widow said her late dad has been her source of encouragement..
