Mr Dudafa was said to have fled Nigeria since 2015 but was arrested as soon as he arrives Mohammed Murtala Airport by the EFCC in Lagos on Monday 18th of April 2016. The Bayelsa man was subsequently interrogated before being transferred to EFCC Headquarters in Abuja.

The Economic Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested Ex President Goodluck Jonathan's special adviser to Domestic affairs, Mr Warimopei Dudafa over an alleged N10Billion deal. Dudafa and one other delegate spent N10billion on PDP's president primary election in December 2014 in which Jonathan later emerged the winner.
