Police have on the 16th of last month arrested three armed robbers in relation to the notorious terror caused in Dopemu,Lagos.The three were arrested after one of them,Ismail Owolabi was used bait to get his other two partners in crime,Toyese Akinbayo and Tolulope Akinbayo.The suspects who confessed to be a four-man gang would disguise as commercial motorcyclist and approach a passenger then strip him/her of their belongings.
They usually operate with a Bajaj motorcycle which was also recovered by the police.They met their waterloo while robbing a victim,Emmanuel.The police official saw the trio while on patrol duty and rushed to the scene,the suspects on seeing them ran off,the police chased them and caught up with Owolabi.They recovered an ATM card and phones belonging to Victor with him.A double barreled pistol was also recovered from him.Owolabi then led the police to the hideout of the other two.They have been transferred to the Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS) for further investigation.
