The burial ceremony of veteran Nollywood actor Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, was marked by emotional scenes as family members, friends, colleagues and sympathisers gathered in Ilaro, Ogun State, on Monday, August 24, 2026, to bid the actor a final farewell.
Among those deeply affected by the loss was his first wife, Ajoke Taiwo, who struggled to hold back tears during the funeral proceedings.
A video shared on Instagram by GoldmyneTV captured the grieving widow surrounded by people who appeared to be consoling her as she mourned the loss of her husband. The close-up footage showed Ajoke visibly emotional, reflecting the pain and sorrow of losing a loved one.
The video quickly drew reactions online, with many viewers expressing sympathy for Ajoke and the entire Taiwo family during the difficult period.
However, the footage also sparked criticism from some social media users, who questioned the decision to record the grieving widow from such a close distance while she was visibly vulnerable.
Several commenters argued that the moment should have been handled with greater sensitivity and privacy, rather than placing a camera directly in front of a grieving family member.
One Instagram user, @betieto, wrote:
