According to a report by Brookings Institution, a non-profit public policy organisation based in the United States of America, Nigeria is now the world's poorest country as it has a population of about 87 million living in extreme poverty while India the poorest country before had about 73 Million.
The report also said that the extreme poverty in Nigeria is growing wildly by six people every minute and another African country, The Republic of the Congo, also called Congo-Brazzaville is also rising as the second poorest country in the world.
