See the famous actress, Yetunde Akilapa who also a filmmaker, was put on trial on Thursday for stealing properties and valuable things which worth over N7 million.
The 32 year old lady who lives at 7, Oladelola street, Ketu, Lagos,was brought before an Ikeja Magistrates' Court on trial of breaking into a burglary and stole some item which she pleaded not guilty.
According to the Police Prosecutor (Benson Emuerhi) she was caught while trying to enter the apartment of the victim, Mr Adeboye Lamidi on the 27th of June at No. 14/16, Mutairu St., Shangisha, Ketu, Lagos, at exactly 2.10 p.m.
Lamidi told the court that he was in his sitting room when he saw someone trying to open the door from outside with a different key but was caught in the act.
The prosecutor also told the court that the accused was caught last three years trying to break into the apartment of Oyinlola Tuga by opening the door with a master key. Oyinlola who resides at Gbagada in Lagos reported that the lady stole jewellery and goods worth N7 million.
Tuga said after raising an alarm, his neighbours told him they saw the lady's car outside the victims house with reg. no. MUS 689 CZ. She was challenged and was found guilty with stolen item and hundred bunch of different keys on her. "She was handed to the police at Ifako Police Station" Tuga said.
Akilapa came into the film industry in 2013 and acted in a Yoruba film, “Ileri-Oluwa’’, which made her popular and known to the world.
