Following late Senator Kashamu Buruji's leaked video asking forgiveness from billionaire businessman, Chief Kessington Adebutu known as Baba Ijebu, just before his death, Nigerian on Social media have reacted.
Kashamu, who died of COVID-19 on the 8th of August, had called Adebutu from his sickbed to ask forgiveness for the disagreement they had from a business deal which went wrong.
Speaking in Yoruba, Buruji pleaded with the businessman to forgive him for any wrongdoing. On his part, Adebutu acknowledged his forgiveness and also requested Kashamu to drop all the cases he brought against him in order to prove that he was sincere in his attempt to seek forgiveness.
Nigerians had reacted to the video. While some found it disappointing that such a video can find its way to the public as it was supposed to be a private conversation, others believe that the video making its way to the public shows that the deceased senator was a good man to seek forgiveness from someone he felt offended before his death.
Buruji has since been buried.
