Dj Switch, one of the protesters at the Lekki tollgate who attracted a lot of attention after recording the tragic events of the shooting that took place on the 10th of October , in a live video, revealed that she was on the run following a threatening phone call. She made it known that she was at risk of being shot.
In lighter news, it has been confirmed by a twitter user, Ismail Kabir, that she has been granted refuge in Canada. Celebratory tweets followed the news on twitter;
@ayomi tweeted: “this is good. I’m not sure she is safe in this Nigeria. If that stupid man can kill pelumi and still refuse to release his corpse, what difference is it with switch? Don’t tell me because she’s popular, these people can make it look like an accident or a suicide”
