Afro juju musician turned Bishop, Sir Shina Peters finally responded to the allegations that he had abandoned, that Damilare Peters, son of late actress Funmi Martins, had for him several years before her untimely death.
Recall that late Funmi Martins had given birth to her last child, a boy to the famous Nigerian juju musician, Shina Peters, and earlier his week, Gistlover, claimed that the 19-year-old boy had dropped out of school due to lack of funds.
Mide Martins, on the other hand, was accused of abandoning the boy and blocking him on her Whatsapp app to restrict communication with him.
In a 9-minute video recording released on social media hours ago, Sir Shina Peters has now spoken out and revealed that there are issues from the past that he would not want to explore, but assured that he will now take full responsibility for Damilare. He also disclosed that he had raised billionaires and raised other children of late Funmi Martins; Mide and Tunde Martins.
“I am no more a kid for crying out loud, I am over 60…I want to appreciate all mothers that rose up to this case…but it is always good to listen to both sides of a story and not just judge from one side….what happened is, …i can’t count the number of kids i have even helped that are not my biological kids…so why would Damilare’s case be any different?
I want you all to know that Damilare and i have been speaking for three days now and tomorrrow we will be see eye to eye and talk and i promise to take up responsibility of the boy.
I am a responsible father, I have raised billionaires….but please don’t turn this boy into a beggar please, because of his tomorrow since he has people that can fend for him..it is not that refused to take care of him, it is cos of issues from the past and I am not going to go back to those issues for peace sake.
I will send him to school, all my kids are educated so he will be spent to school….i raised his elder brother, Tunde Martins, I raised Mide Martins, so why won’t I raise him? ..so for now, …I will take it up and will not go the past issues then but i won’t talk about that cos of the boy’s future….he will shine….”
Meanwhile, Gist Lover has revealed that the popular Afro Juju musician, Shina Peters, is asking for a DNA test.
“Information reaching me is that you are requesting a DNA,something wey you no request since ,he reach responsibility now,baba wan dey dodge,you say make we no contribute for am,say the boy no be beggar,then take up your duty sir,ibon oni bawa o” Gist Lover claimed.
Damilare also spoke and confirmed what had been said by the older man. He said he had no access to his elder sister, Mide Martins.
The young boy noted that, whenever they meet in family roles, the actress would promise to help him but would later renounce her promise.
