Lt. Gen. Ibrahim Attahiru the Nigeria's Chief of Army Staff and the other 11 military officers killed in the ill-fated military plane crash in Kaduna state on Friday are being laid to rest in Abuja.

The bodies of the deceased military officers were moved from Kaduna to Abuja this morning and will be buried at the Military Cemetery.

Christian officers were laid to rest at the Air Force Protestant Church on the Air Force base in Abuja, while Muslim officers were laid to rest at the National Mosque in Abuja.
