Baba Ijesha, the beleaguered Nollywood actor, has been granted bail in the sum of two million naira by the Lagos State Special Offences Court.
The presiding judge, Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo, issued a ruling on the actor's bail plea this afternoon, ordering that he be released on bail while the trial continues.
The actor must produce the money along with two sureties, one of whom must be a lawyer and the other a family member, according to the judge.
The actor must, however, complete the bail terms and restrictions within the following seven days, according to the judge.
She stated that the trial would begin on July 26 and end on July 28.
The actor is on trial for allegedly defiling Princess, comedienne's foster daughter.
