Iya Osogbo, a veteran Yoruba actress who formally retired from performing when she turned 90 last year, has been surprised by a younger colleague, Toyin Tomato, ahead of her 91st birthday on August 23, 2021.
Iya Osogbo is the widow of Oyin Adejobi, a late Yoruba actor who died in 2000.
Toyin Tomato paid Iya Osogbo a surprise visit at her house in Oluyole, Ibadan, and serenaded her with birthday music and dancing, leaving the veteran overcome with emotion.
Iya Osogbo, despite her old age, was still able to dance and move gracefully.
“Look at her dancing step @92!!! God is good” Toyin Tomato gushed
Some of her industry colleagues, like Kemi Afolabi, Bimpe Akintunde, Omo Alausa, and others, have praised her for doing the right thing to honor Iya Osogbo.
