It's ridiculous To Claim That Yoruba Actors Are illiterates  – Yoruba Actor Yomi Fash-Lanso

Yomi Fash-Lanso, a Nollywood actor, has slammed fellow actor Mercy Aigbe for claiming that Yoruba-speaking performers were regarded as illiterates.

In a recent interview, the legendary Yoruba movie actor, widely known as Fash, told HipTv that anyone who believes Yoruba-speaking performers are illiterate was thinking stupidly.

Aigbe recently informed newsmen in Lagos that Yoruba-speaking actors were being discriminated against by their English-speaking colleagues.

Aigbe's comments arose after she was reportedly omitted by ThisDay Style magazine's list of the best dressed Nollywood celebs.

This omission was claimed to have triggered allegations of discrimination against the English-speaking section of Nollywood.

In response, Fash slammed individuals who discriminate against Yoruba-speaking performers, labeling them "dumb."

"What is illiteracy?" he asked. Could you please define illiteracy for me?

"If we don't speak English, is it our language?" "Anyone who tells you that people who don't speak English are illiterates is a pretty ignorant person," He said.
